Why NPA?
Monday, April 28, 2008Blogging has never been a serious thing I considered. Before, when the blogging community started to grow, I thought they were just a bunch of people wanting to hear their hearts out to the world wide web. Where a diary is very much personal, the blog can be viewed by the public and is open for comments or opinions.
Early in 2006, I created my first blog as a requirement in my English 10 class. The professor was going out of the country so he made us submit our papers online through blogging. The class agreed to use Friendster Blog since almost everyone has an account there.
At Multiply, my first entry was dated Jan.02, ‘07 eventhough I am a member since 2004.
Recently, I attended the 4th Philippine Blogging Summit or iBlog4. I’ve heard about it from my brother since he was once a speaker and a host in their previous events. I got curious with what topics regarding blogging they discuss in the summit so I made it a point to attend last Saturday’s event.
At the end of the day, I learned a lot of interesting things such as gaining profit from blogging, the wondrous photoblogs, a large Mindanao blogging community, how bloggers can help clean election, advocacy blogs, policies on writing blog entries, the difference (or similarity) of bloggers and journalists, and many more. Whatever happened to my idea of blog as only an online diary.
My normal internet life (before this) would be to check my mails, Multiply, and two blogs from two different journalists, Howie Severino and Jessica Zafra.
Anyway, enough of my blogging history. The point is I got interested to take blogging seriously that resulted in the creation of this account. Unlike my Multiply blog, this one would only discuss issues of my diverse interests such as Ayn Rand’s Objectivism, Bayang Barrios music, Howie Severino and Kara David, Jessica Zafra’s twisted-ness, movies I like, BOOKS I like, photography, photojournalism, nature, CATS, children issues, theater, ice skating, etcetera. From time to time, it may also post opinions on the world’s stupidity, a.k.a. current events, whether inside or outside the country.
Why NoPermanentAddress?
There’s no (bitter) better way on how to describe my life, as it is.
